Taming the Wolf

The ups and downs of life as an early 30s career girl trying to balance the various demands of life, including fibromyalgia. autoimmune and dietary issues. Somedays I succeed more than others, but it’s an adventure…

About me… March 5, 2009

Looking to share thoughts, experiences, options, ups, downs, and everything in between with others struggling to manage lupus, fibromyalgia, other other autoimmune/arthritis issues…

I’m an early-30s midwestern girl.  I’ve moved around for school to a number of states, but have finally settled in to the center of the country…at least for a while now.  Like most, I struggle to find the balance between happiness, health and success.  Somedays I’m optimistic, others not so much.  I have some great friends, near and far, that help me sort through aspects of that process, as well as a fabulous husband.

Adding to the struggle though, is the challenge of dealing with lupus and fibromyalgia and other related ailments.  Sometimes the emotional pain can be worse than the physical, and sharing with others who understand and relate has turned out to be more helpful than I ever imagined.  Information, education, and understanding, both for myself and others, if my goal for getting this started.

Right you are. I’ve been struggling with depression for ages, and for the last few years something akin to PTSD. I’m all right for the shape I’m in; I just didn’t realize that I’m a shape-shifter.

Hope you can tame the wolf!

  2. Thank you so much for listing me on your blog. I just wrote a little something about you on my blog. I really appreciate it. It is an honor. I hope that you are feeling a bit better than you were in October. Sending a hug!
